The Bury Black Pudding Company Limited are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join their growing and expanding business, working as part of a team in the busy Warehouse. The Warehouse is responsible for all goods in and out of the factory so the ability to work alone and as part of a team is essential.

Loading and unloading of vehicles
Picking customer orders
Dealing with the public (drivers, customers, suppliers)
Understanding / experience of stock rotation
Putting incoming stock into the right location
Delivering customers' orders locally using Company vehicles (up to 3.5T) when required.
Working to HACCP programme (critical control points), accurately recording checks and results on relevant documentation.
Keep work area clean and tidy. We operate a clean as you go policy, maintaining high hygiene standards at all times and working to required cleaning specifications and schedules.
Excellent Health & Safety and food hygiene standards.
Demonstrate excellent standards of personal hygiene.
Adhere to strict Quality and Food standards.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential – FLT Reach and Counterbalance licence
Driving licence essential
CPC Licence ideally
Good reading, writing & numeracy skills, as recording information accurately on internal and supply chain traceable paperwork is essential.
Relevant experience essential (preferably in the food industry)
Good attendance and timekeeping.
Ability to adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Flexible with a 'can do' attitude.
Good communication skills.
Be enthusiastic and conscientious and understand or be willing to learn the principles and application of Food Safety.
Have a proactive approach to excellent warehouse practices.
Be comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment and working in a food factory environment.
Hours of work – 40 per week
Days – Monday to Saturday
