The Bury Black Pudding shortlisted for 'Best Health and Safety in Manufacturing' at this year's Safety & Health Excellence Awards 2022
We are pleased to announce The Bury Black Pudding Company have been shortlisted for the 'Best Health and Safety in Manufacturing' for the second time in as many years.
Marking their 20th year since the business was registered, The Bury Black Pudding Company are hoping to secure their first award at this year's Safety & Health Excellence Awards to be held at The Vox, NEC in Birmingham on the 6th April 2022.
Over the last 12-18 months, BBP have increased their workforce greatly to meet business demands which has put the Health & Safety procedures to high alert given the manufacturing environment alongside COVID-19. Andrew Donovan - Health & Safety Officer has trained all new employees and created teams to include First Aiders, Health & Safety Representatives and Fire Marshalls, Andrew himself is a recognised accredited trainer - a very rare thing to have within a manufacturing company.
Andrew's passion, desire and determination brings the business to the forefront of health and safety within the food manufacturing industry.
Andrew Donovan had this to say; "It's been a difficult but enjoyable 18 month's, everyone has understood just how important health and safety training is and to now say we have a team of qualified staff with recognised qualifications within all parts of the business is a great achievement. We're proud to be shortlisted once again for the award and we'll be keeping our fingers crossed on the 6th April'.
